DAILY NBA TRIVIA SEASON 2026–27 7 PROMPTS · 24S EACH
CURRYILLION the daily NBA trivia game where rare answers score more
Seven prompts a night. Twenty-four seconds on the shot clock. The name everyone shouts is a layup; the name nobody else sees is one in a Curryillion — and it is worth ten times the points.

01 / THE FORMAT
Seven prompts. One answer each. Rarest wins.
Curryillion is a daily NBA trivia game with one inversion: you do not win by knowing the answer. You win by knowing an answer nobody else thought of. Every correct name on the board is real; the points are decided by how lonely your answer was.
-
Tip off once a day
One nightly round: seven prompts, the same for every player. It resets at midnight Eastern and counts once towards your streak. Miss it and the archive still has it.
-
Read the prompt, beat the clock
Twenty-four seconds on the shot clock, with a short read-gate before the answer box opens. There is no time to workshop the perfect name — and that is the point.
-
Name someone real
A player, team, coach, award winner, college or basketball moment. Five tries per prompt, and spelling is forgiven: plurals, accents, nicknames and small typos all land.
-
Climb the ladder
Every accepted answer drops into a rarity tier, from Layup +10 to One in a Curryillion +100. Seven perfect answers score 700 and fill the building.
New here? The full rulebook has the shot clock, the five tries, the tiers and seven habits of annoyingly good players.
02 / THE LADDER
The obvious answer is a layup. The hidden one is a Curryillion.
Each prompt ships a hand-checked board of accepted answers, and every listed answer sits in one of five tiers. The tier is not about whether you are right — it is about how few people reach for it. A real answer we have not catalogued yet still scores UNCHARTED +10, so the only way to score nothing is to name no answer at all.
-
+10
Layup
The first name on everybody's lips. Warm-up bucket.
-
+25
Free Throw
Comfortable. Half the building said it too.
-
+45
Three Pointer
From downtown. The bench is up.
-
+70
Half Court
From way out. Nobody saw that coming.
-
+100
One in a Curryillion
The one hidden answer. The roof just came off.
THE SHOT CHART
Rarer answer, deeper shot.
Every accepted answer has a spot on the floor. The name everyone shouts is a layup; the one nobody else sees is a heave from the logo.
- Layup+10
- Free Throw+25
- Three Pointer+45
- Half Court+70

THE BRICK
No answer, no points. Five wrong guesses or a dead shot clock sends the round into the books as a brick — still correctable next prompt, still counted in the box score.
UNCHARTED +10
Name a real answer we have not catalogued yet and the round still scores the yellow square: not on the board yet, still logged, still worth a bucket. The board is exact for the six listed outcomes, and honest about the rest.
03 / WAYS TO PLAY
One nightly game. A full season in the archive. Endless shootaround.
The daily round is the ritual. Everything else is free practice with the same boards, the same tiers and the same PA announcer.
No account, no payment, no download. Everything runs in your browser and saves locally.
04 / WHY RARE ANSWERS
The answer you almost said is the one that wins.
Trivia usually measures what you know. Curryillion measures what you are willing to say. Everyone can name the first player who comes to mind for a prompt; the points live in the second name, the third, the one from a different decade that is still true.
That is why the board is built in tiers instead of right and wrong. A layup is a correct answer and it still scores — it just will not win the night. Two one-in-a-Curryillion answers beat a clean sheet of obvious ones, and a single +100 reveal is the story you tell the group chat afterwards.
It is a rarest answer game at heart and an NBA guessing game on the surface. The ladder from obvious to absurd is the whole design. It is also why the archive stays interesting: the same seven prompts reward completely different answers on a second visit.
Curryillion is fan-made and independent. No league affiliation, no gambling, no ads — one analytics tag and just basketball lore, a shot clock and a scoreboard.
05 / THE BOOTH ANSWERS
Questions from the front row.
What is Curryillion?
Curryillion is a free daily NBA trivia game where rare answers score more. Every day you get the same seven basketball prompts as everyone else, 24 seconds each. You name a player, team, award winner, college or moment; the rarer the correct answer, the more points it earns, up to +100 for the one hidden answer — one in a Curryillion.
How is an answer scored in Curryillion?
Every prompt ships a hand-checked board of accepted answers sorted into five rarity tiers: Layup +10, Free Throw +25, Three Pointer +45, Half Court +70 and One in a Curryillion +100. The obvious answer is still correct, it just scores the least. A real answer we have not catalogued yet still scores UNCHARTED +10, so there are no dead ends. Seven perfect answers score 700.
Is Curryillion free to play?
Yes. Curryillion is free, with no account, no download and no advertising; the only third-party script is a single Google Analytics tag. It runs in any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer, and your streak, best score and discoveries are stored privately in your own browser.
When does the new daily NBA trivia game drop?
A new round goes live at midnight Eastern Time, and everyone playing that day gets the same seven prompts. One daily round counts towards your streak; archive, themed-pack, shootaround and challenge runs are always open and never change it.
What if I misspell an answer?
Spelling is forgiven. Plurals, accents, punctuation, spacing, common nicknames and small typos are matched to the board automatically. A guess that is not on the board uses one of your five tries; if the answer was real but not catalogued, the round is scored UNCHARTED +10 instead of zero. If you run out of tries, or the 24-second shot clock expires, the round is recorded as a brick.
Can I play Curryillion with friends?
Yes. When a round ends you can copy a challenge link that carries the day number and your score but no answers. A friend plays the same seven prompts for free, then sees whether they beat you. Nobody needs an account. Read how challenge links work.
How many games can I play in the archive?
A full season ships on day one: 365 daily games, seven prompts each. Every round that has already aired stays open in the archive, so a missed day is never lost content — and archive runs are fun-only, so they never touch your daily streak or best score.
Is Curryillion affiliated with the NBA?
No. Curryillion is an independent, fan-made basketball trivia game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the National Basketball Association, its teams or its players. Team and player names appear only as factual trivia subjects.
